Kadem the Comic

Kadem the Comic is one of the 2nd generation of Zimbabwean comedians who has managed to grow over the years through Simuka Comedy Club fostered by NAMA Award Winning Comedians Doc Vikela and Simba Kakora. Kadem is currently working on starting his own TV show and expects to launch his first ever one man stand-up comedy show in 2019.

Having learnt at a boys high school, Marist Brothers Nyanga High School, he aspires to take himself and his trademark “a round flat hat that he wears on stage” on to the global comedy scene. He has been part of Doc Vikela’s National Comedy Tour named #IntensiveCare which ran through April to May 2017, travelling to various towns around Zimbabwe telling jokes.

Kadem the Comic is a regular performer at many stand-up comedy events in Harare, among them “No, But seriously Funny Comedy show”, Simuka Comedy and Chipiri Comedy Nights, a new material weekly comedy show which he co-started this October 2017. His professional journey as stand-up comedian began in September 2014 at the then BOCAPA Open Mic at the Book Café. Exactly a year after he started comedy, Kadem the Comic was first runner-up of the Shoko Festival Top Comedian competition in September 2015.

When Kadem the Comic is not cracking jokes, he is doing internal audit and risk management. He is also a Wedding and Events Host. Recently he is also venturing into music with his debut track titled “Mugame” released on the 4th of November 2017.
